Science week

Last week Glenbrae senior students had a science week on week 10 term 2 2015. We went to Room 10, Room 9 and last of all Room 8.

Room 7. Firstly we Room 7 students stayed in our class on Monday because Mrs Raj showed us the 3 state of matter that is solid liquid and gas. She told us the water can turn into ice if you put it in the frighted. If you leave the ice in a boil water it will melt and it will not come back if you put the water in the fright it will turn back to ice cubes. The next thing she sold us was the water cycle. When the water is in the ocean and it sunny the sun suck up the water out of the ocean and it turn it a cloud and it rains and the water is in the water and it keep on going. Eg. Ice, Water and steam.

On Tuesday we still stay in but our teacher Mrs Parker was busy with us. On 9.15 we watch a cartoon and on it it says what is a liquid out of sand, cream or milk so we were chatting with our partners to see which is liquid so I was talking with Mckenzie he told me that cream is liquid too and I said that milk is liquid too and we got so confuse because we don't no if cream is liquid and we just finish chatting. I told Mrs Parker is cream is liquid and we don’t no yet and just stayed on cream.

Room 10. On wednesday went to Room 10 where Mrs Tofa is. We sat on the mat and Mrs Tofa showed us some bottle of drinks. There was L&P, Sprite, Vinegar and water. She told us to sit on the table’s with our house we sat where the back door is. She cut a quarter apple to let one person from there house table. Charlie was the one to go and dip the apple in the vinegar and also another house dip there apple in the same thing we dip it. We putted the apple in the sun. After that we went and got the apple from outside and see if it brown but the middle of the apple was just almost brown but it did not work with vinegar. We sat back on the mat and we watch a very interesting video when the man was talking about weird thing that we do not knew about and understand because he was talking a little bit fast.

After watching that video we sat back on the mat and we choose which drinks we should go so a lot of people choose L&P and I raise my hands for L&P. We had to roll a dough when Mrs Tofa gave it to our group. We made our dough but something went wrong we roll the dough to long and it went so thick and soft it also did not came of the paper tray and we have to add a little bit more flour and just roll and knead it and it went just right. Once it was lunch they put the dough inside the oven in the kitchen hall. After lunch it was time to have our bread that we made. Davarni and Charlie got the bread out of the oven and we ate the bread and it was yummy.

I felt really happy because we all had bread and it was fun and yummy. I was liking the video because the man has been saying that the apple taste yum and it does not taste yuck.
