Book Week

On Tuesday we had book week. Students in our school get to dress up as a character in their book, we all went in the hall to start off our book activities.

Before we got into our book activities we had a little parade in the hall, all the students in their classes that was dressed up get to stand up and walk around with their class teacher and class mate. Some students were very shy and nervous to walk with their beautiful costumes that they were wearing.

After the parade was finish, each students that was dressed up came up with their classmates and present what costume they were wearing. As we were going towards the end, our office lady Mrs Blennerhassett was lucky enough to announced the seniors and juniors best book character costume. I don’t know who were the 2 students that was announced as the best costume winner.

When all of our book activities were finish, everybody was welcome to see Room 7 diorama, we created our diorama with a shoe box and other different materials. Heaps of students love our diorama, I hope that they we inspired them to make a diorama too. Teachers and students like our diorama and they said “It’s cool and very bright”.

After our book week activities were finish we head back to class for our morning tea and that was the end of book week.

Last week maths! ➕➖✖➗

A car uses 10 litres of fuel to go 100 kilometres.
How many will it need for 450 kilometres?
So 10x10=100 KM
10x45=450
Answer: 45
Different kind of strategy 450/10=45

Hamish and his brother eat 2 pieces of toasts each for breakfast, and his sister eats 1. If hamish has had 8 pieces so far this week, how many have the three of them eaten altogether?
Answer : 24
3x8=24
So if it was 2x8=16

But it is 3x8 which equals 24

Josh, ani, and philip have enough food to last 9 people for 5 days.
How long should the food last the 3 friends?
So 9 people and 5 days with enough foods
So 9/3=3 & 3x5=15 Days

This is what we just solved out but their was more equation than this but we just solved out the one we knew and this is all we got. Me, Vainikolo and George have been working on a equation each and we gave it our best.
