There was a man that came from “Deaf Aotearoa Tangata Turi”, he taught us sign language which most people around the world who are deaf and can’t speak that well use to communicate. The man that came was Tom. He showed us how to speak in sign language which was kinda difficult. He gave us a paper with the ABC sign words on it. He was speaking in sign language and was kinda hard to understand what he was saying, so he wrote the words on the whiteboard that he was speaking in sign language. He taught us animals signs, the colour of the rainbow in sign language too and teaching us how to say family in sign language, he was teaching us and he was really awesome. We asked him questions and he answered but this time he was talking so I so shocked to hear him talking because he didn’t talk throughout the lesson. After the questioning it was time for him to go and it was really fun learning how to sign language. Doing this lesson made me feel like I’m a person just like Tom because he has his personality but it is similar to mine so this lesson will make remember it in the future.
I like the way you learned your buddy to learn how to use sign language to communicate with each other. I should try and do some sign language.
