WALT: find the morale of the story
SC: find the hidden purpose of a story.

Eru’s choices will affect him for the rest of his life.
Agree
I agree with this statement because Eru’s is going to go and buried his arm with the mum in the backyard where Eru and mum lives.


Drugs and alcohol have dangerous side-effects
Disagree


Drugs and alcohol can kill you because if you drink too many alcohol you can get drunk and if you also get dizzy you don’t take drugs because it can overdose you and you can die.


People react differently in emergencies.

When uncle came in the car screaming by on the cousin driveway and uncle told the cousin what have happen and the cousin was panicking because there was a car crash.


VOCABULARY - describe in your own words what these words mean:
  1. koro-I have a grandfather in Samoa and he is not old he is probably in his 40 century
  2. overhear-I called my friend to come over here and he did not came over because he was busy
  3. amputated-In the story uncle Eru arm got cut off and they are going to buried his arm
  4. accident-It mean when you hit someone on accident and you did not meant to do that on purpose
What should Uncle Eru have done instead of driving off after his argument with Koro?
He should just told Koro nicely, not shouting at him because it will start to be in a big argument and it going to bigger and bigger.
A morale is a hidden meaning or purpose behind a story. What is the morale of this story?
You should not drink and drive because you might cause an accident in the car and you might die or be injured
