Technology reflection!!

Today for Tech us year 7's have to finish off our carving and finish painting out carving piece so we can receive our carving the week after out Camp week (Camp is next week), so I've just finish painting my work before we get it so I'm very excited to get my masterpiece that I've done.

Facts about Russell Island

Russell Island in Redland city is the biggest Southern Moreton Bay Islands, Russell was found in 1870, in 2011 the population for Russell Island use to be 2,473 (I’m not sure what’s the population of Russell for 2017?), Russell is located in the far north of New Zealand.

Russell use to be known as Kororareka, was the first permanent European settlement and seaport in New Zealand, much of the accommodation was in the area and consist on holiday homes or tourist accommodation.

Present day (Russell Island)

In this very day Russell is now mostly a “Bastion of Cafes, gift shops and B&B’s” (Bed and breakfast), a car ferry across Bay of Islands going between Okiato and Opua and also to access the main tourist to Russell Island.

There is a school in Russell called “Russell School”, Russell School is a co educational (Co educational is a school where full primary school from Year 1-8. Russell School has been opened since 1892.

Shopping

In Russell there is a small shopping village offering a variety service, there is a post office, chemist, bakery, and a single takeaway food shop in the small island. Russell Island have the same service as the main land than span across  the island.

Grease AGGS

Grease AGGS (Auckland Girls Grammar School)

Grease is a wonderful play based on a girl having problems with her dream crush “Danny”, Danny was talking to Sandy at school about something that Sandy didn’t really like. There was heaps of drama going on with Sandy and Danny but it came to the end where they are back together with no problems.

I like the performance that Auckland Girls Grammar and some boys from St Paul's have done, they put a lot of effort to their acting and performance. All those boys and girls that perform have spent their time and done their performance on us and that really means a lot.

I would love to give a big thank you to Miss Elia niece for bringing us to Auckland Grammar to watch their performance for free.

Netball Rugby procedure

Rugby Netball procedure

On Monday my class (Room 7) got given a Writing a task to do, the task we received was to do a procedure based on Netball Rugby, if you don’t what does procedure mean, it’s like explaining instruction about some activities and it’s also explaining rules that is about a game.

Here is my little procedure that I’ve described about Netball Rugby rules. I really want to know your thoughts on my procedure by commenting on my blog.

Netball Rugby is similar to Rugby and Netball but instead it’s both mixed up, instead of shooting the ball in the hoop you have to try to get a try just like Rugby. Rugby Netball is just simple, by the way here are the rules for Rugby Netball.

Get people into 2 teams but make sure both of the teams are even so it can be fair, when there are already 2 teams just line up into 2 lines but make sure your teammates are together with you, get 1 person to chuck the ball so both of the teams can try to catch it, once when one team has the ball try and defend them so you can try to get the ball of them before you start to get a try. When you have the ball make sure you don’t walk or run because you have to pass on to the next team, also you have 3 seconds to hold the ball other wise if you have the ball more than 3 seconds you have to hand the ball to the next team. When a team get a try, line back up into 2 line and try to catch the ball again before trying to get a try.

Here are the basics rules that can injure people while playing Netball Rugby, make sure to not run with the ball, the very reason why is because some people are very rough with the ball and they can contain severe injury to people that is playing Netball Rugby. Also when people run with the ball they can get hurt because the other team might not know why they are bumping you off, don’t chuck the ball very hard because when your teammate catches the ball they can get hurt easily and make sure to watch where you throw because the ball might his someone and they can get hurt and might get knocked out by the impact you throwed. Watch out, don’t run with the ball and don’t bump into people when they have the ball during Netball Rugby.

Not being able to go to school 🤧🤧🤒🤒

Today I just felt like blogging up a little story about why I'm not to coming school. I've done a little writing on Google drawing and you guys will know why I'm not at school and when I'm coming back to school.

On Monday my class got given a Reading task that is “Wondering”, it was about where our class can do anything that they like such as vehicles, actors and whatever they would like to do.

So I chosen a very creative start to my Wondering, I started to research a guy called “Kevin Durant”, I chosen Kevin Durant because I know that Kevin has heaps of issues after he drop out of Oklahoma team. Also I chose Kevin Durant because he has heaps of information about himself so I shared it on my Google drawing that I’ve created. I got some information about Kevin Durant based on his family, personal information, career, big problems and more. I putted lots of effort into this work and I’ve finally finish it.

I’m not going to spoil the moment for you guys but here you go, enjoy reading my Google drawing.

Tech (Tamaki College)

On Friday morning us year 7&8 went to Tech at Tamaki College, as some people know the year 8 go to another class while the year 7 goes to Matua-Brent class. When it was 9:15 we had to go to class and wait for Matua, when we go in class we go our boards, safety boards and our carving materials. When we were done getting our stuff ready, Matua Brent said "We've still have to finish of our carving", so I done that straight away. When it was time to go we waited outside for the year 8 and then we walk back to school.
