My Malama Honua

On Wednesday 25 March the Manaiakalani schools came and also we went with Glenbrae School student to. We went to our spots where it said our school name and we sat down and one waka boat was already there. We saw another waka boat coming and they told us to stand up .We  started singing when all the people in the Malama Honua people came out of the waka.

The distinguished guests talked in Maori to the Malama Honua voyagers. The sailors were singing to us and it was like a Maori prayer song. The man from the yacht was also singing and it was so perfect I was about to sing with them but i don’t really know the song but it was so strong and smooth.

The lady told the whole school to stand up so we can sing our second song.The second song was He Honore. We sang and it was so on key but heaps were so loud but it was so nice and cool.

We were there because the people that was in the waka teach us about Hawaiian navigation skills. Manaiakalani is a Hawaiian word which mean the hook from heaven.

I want to be a cheetah

If I were an animal I would be strong and fast like a cheetah. I would eat a lot of meat as cheetahs do.

Danny own pizza fractions

WALT : apply fractions to make pizza art.
In these activity I had to make my own pizza fraction and it was kind of hard to make a pizza but when it opened it was in halves and it was funny.

I learned how to make a key do my pizza and do my solution about my own pizza fraction.

the part I found the hardest was cutting the pizza in to a circle and I really enjoyed it.

Danny's butterfly creek

Yesterday on 16th of March 2015 Glenbrae School had a trip to Butterfly Creek on a bus to learn about dinosaurs Fossils, and also more.

We firstly had morning tea and morning tea two educators named Sunita and Paul came and tell us about some information about our topics. He showed us some of the collection from the dinosaurs.

Sunita told us what we are doing next we went to dinosaurs kingdom but my teacher was so confuse about dinosaur kingdom because room 4 went in first but we don’t know if they have to go there first.

We went in there and it was awesome. I went and drive the car but it was stuck in the mud but it was already there I went inside the warehouse to look at more dinosaur pictures and bones but we take a photo with my rest of my classmates. Sunita came and told us to lined up so we can go to the train ride. We were looking at the train and it was so small but when we got in we started to fit the teachers went and told everyone to sit before we go for a ride. Sunita locked all the doors because it will open and we might fall out.

Our class went and lined up to go to the farm but we were standing still but we were not lining up straight were talking and pushing in so the person can go in. First we went in so we can see the animal we went and I held the bunny and it was so tiny and cute I brushed the goat after the bunny. The teacher told the class it time to go to the butterflies room.

We went past the aquarium but we were just looking at the fish and it looked like the cartoon fish. The class teacher add told us to go and take a photo on the ship steering wheel.

Our classmate was looking and the ship.he wanted to go on but it was blocked by some other kids from our School and they were not giving that little boy a turn.The teacher said to line up so she said let go to the butterflies room we went in there and we looked at the degree it was over 30c.

I always love going to butterfly creek because I really enjoy the dinosaur kingdom and it was so funny, awesome,and weird. I love Butterfly Creek.
